Potato Bush Camp by Green Safaris, in the Lower Zambezi National Park, just half an hour’s flight from Lusaka, is a much-loved bush camp, where the boundaries between you and the wild are fluid. Raised walkways through the bush take you to your spacious tent, where it is not uncommon for an elephant to drink from the plunge pool.

With just 3 tented suites and one Family Tent, Potato Bush is designed for authentic connection to the landscape. Accommodating only ten guests, Potato Bush also lends itself to booking the camp on a sole-use basis.

Land and river-based activities and unrivalled wildlife viewing fill your days.

Mornings start at day-break with freshly brewed coffee delivered to your tent by your personal Muchinda (Butler).

With a choice of activities including walking safaris, game viewing, canoeing, and of course fishing for the mighty Tiger Fish, your days at Potato Bush are exciting and memorable.

At the close of the day, a delicious dinner and conversation around the fire pit, under a sky of stars, brings a gentle close to the day’s adventures.

One Family Tent with two ensuite bedrooms (one King & one Twin) separated by a spacious lounge, dining area and deck with plunge pool – perfect for gathering with friends & family.

Potato Bush has long been a favorite amongst fishermen – here the mighty Tiger Fish lurks below the surface – catch him if you can! Skilled fishing guides, with innate knowledge of the river channels, are there to help you bring in your trophy (catch & release).

The landscape offers amazing photographic opportunities – the everchanging shades on the mountain escarpment, the colours of sunset painted on the river, wild dog on the hunt, elephants bathing in the river….
